If God, Mohammed, or Allah is offended, why do they need lawyers, or people to defend their honor? They can just send down lighting bolts (since they are all powerfull)and destroy the infidel's. Simple and to the point.

Well, I am back. R, I want you to understand that I am really disappointed and offended in the entry that I last commented on. I thought you were better than that. I guess the Apostle Paul was right when he said that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

I guess in all your ‘education’ and ‘wisdom gained from this world’ that you just can’t accept that God loves you and doesn’t expect you to work your way to Him. He has already made the way.

Was Jesus offended? – No! and to put Mohammed and Allah together with Him is an even bigger show of ignorance or are you just being politically correct? God is bigger than anything that we can say or do to Him. We do not affect Him in any way because He knows everything and knows what is going to happen. He wasn’t ‘surprised’ or ‘caught off guard’ by what you said.

Christianity is the only religion, and I hesitate to call it a religion because it is a relationship where God reaches out to man. (and women, if you want to be PC – ‘man’ is a general term meaning ‘human beings.’)

Apparently what you had growing up was just that – a religion. Your religion led you down a road of emotion and hype. You got burned out of trying to please God with your behavior and actions. Because religion is man trying to get to God or heaven or whatever you think you need to attain heaven.

Christianity is a relationship based on God’s perfect love – it’s based on His character and not our actions. God’s love (and all His character qualities; holiness, justice, righteousness, etc) is based on His perfection and not our understanding and personal experience of what we think His qualities mean. There is nothing that I can do to make God love me any more or any less.

As to my ‘scholarly’ responses that you were disappointed in and saying that I just said what others say and I have no opinion of my own – isn’t it the same when you say something like ‘I don’t know where I read it, but some guy said …… and that is what I now believe.’

In essence, that is what you have condemned me about. Just because you can read it, doesn’t mean it is trustworthy – (National Enquirer).

You said that one of your purposes for this blog was to get to know your brothers. I don’t see that – all I see is silly question after silly comment after silly question. You already have your mind made up and nothing I am going to say is going to change your mind.

So I am back – ready for an apology – we’ll see just how much of an education you have.

What you are saying is that I am an idiot, and all the history books that I have been reading is false? The history books that I have been reading have history wrong concerning the Bible?

I was always told that the only stupid question was the one that you did not ask. If my questions are stupid to you, then ignore them-- simple.

I did missionary work in Mexico and Guatemala with a Bapistist missionary; I guess that was emotion, and hype? while I was growing up.

No, I am not saying you are stupid - maybe just gullible.

There are books that now say that the Holocaust was not true, we did not land on the moon and History revisionist are rewriting history to take out all Biblical references to the beginning of this nation. Are you going to read those books and believe them and then tell me that you believe that we didn't go to the moon.

As many books that are written by non-christian author 'disproving' the Bible, there are as many proving it with archeological evidence - now, not every word and event is proven by secular history.

Sure there are stupid questions - it's those questions that are not asked from a sincere, searching heart or mind. You have to admit you have asked some questions not out of the sincerity of wanting to know an answer.

As to your mission trips, there are sincere people in the church, doing good things. But unfortunately, they are sincerely wrong and God wants godly things not good things done.

If what you had back then, doesn't mean anything now, then apparently it wasn't real. I am not the judge of that - my 'conclusions' only comes from what I have read from you.

What makes me gullible, and you not?

I am on God's side - I believe His Word - every bit of it - I'm sticking with the Creator of the Universe.

Well, Muslims say that God is on their side, and that they believe every word of the Koran.

They have their right to be wrong!

So, you only able discern, comprehend things, the world from your point of view. Really you have no choice, you are locked into your identity ( as a Baptist preacher) that you have created for yourself. By the choice that you have made on how to define your life, it has limited you on how to percieve people and the world; even my life. You can not afford it, your life would unravel.

Me on the otherhand am free. I am free to question, follow my heart, choose my destiny. I am going to be an Astrophysicists.

I am not going to argue with you anymore, we well never agree, or I will never agree with you. I am going to write what I want to write that interest( alot of things interest me) me, and the books that I read.
