Microsoft Update

Whoever is in charge of determining what is a critical update, and what is not a critical update does not work with computers, has never run a computer lab or in charge of a large computer system. I do not think that him/her/they have ever build a image of a computer. A person should be able to download the updates and walk away and come back after 63 updates have been downloaded and installed... simple you think. But "NO" in Microsoft's infinite wisdom the "windows validation," has been determined to be a critical update, but for the update to install a person had to manually install the update. So in the process of downloading and installing 63 updates I leave and return expecting the updates are installed and I can install the next set up updates; NOT THE CASE. I have to say "ok" install the "microsoft validation tool" thus wasting my time. And IE Explorer 8 SHOULD NOT BE A CRITICAL UPDATE. The are educational sites and other web sites that IE 8 cannot display right. I have 14 computer labs all with different missions, running different applications, and Microsoft thinks that I need IE 8 in all my labs. If I needed IE 8 then I would download it, and install on my computers, but I do not need it. A person should be able to start the download of critical updates, walk away, return in 15 to 20 minutes and verything should be done; nothing to more to do.

Obama Care

Obama care is nothing about creating a healthy living environment for people, it is just another way of control; government controling people. If the Obama administration was so concerned; health care would start now, not for 4 to 5 years from now, but the taxes start now and we get 17,000 more IRS agents to impliment this health care feasco. You would think that the Health and Human Services department would be in charge -- no the IRS, so this nothing more then about money and power over people. All through history there are people who want to control other people for what ever reason. Now there is the ranking Democratic stating that in the end of all this social engineering is power.

United States of America is now the UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA.

Galileo

Nothing has changed in 400 years. There is scientific fact and the Church still does not accept it instead believing false ideas that can be proven wrong. The Church is not about what is the truth; it is still about power, money, and controlling people though a false belief system.

Book of Five Rings

I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night and it was about what the Japanse consider the greatest Samurai warrior of all time; Miyamoto Musashi. Near the end of his life he wrote a book called "Book of 5 Rings." Basically a philosophy by which a person conducts their interactions with other people and an individual strategy to live your life. Here are some basic points from his book:

1. Do not think dishonestly.
2. The Way is in training.
3. Become aquainted with every art.
4. Know the Ways of all professions.
5. Distinguish between gain and loss in worldly matters.
6. Develop intuitive judgement and understanding for everything.
7. Perceive those things which cannot be seen.
8. Pay attention even to trifles.
9. Do nothing which is of no use.

Continental Drift

The North and South Americans contients are moving away from Africa esimated at 1cm to 10 cm per year. That means that if the earth was 6000 years old x 10cm (take the biggest amount)/year = 60,000 cm's. Converting this to km = .6 km. That means that if you live on the west coast of Africa you should be able to throw a rock onto South America; if the Earth is 6,000 years old.

Afghan War

Today marks the 1000th Soldier to die in the Afghanistan War. When Presendent Bush was in Office I remember the outrage from Dingy Harry ( and other Democratic figures), Code Pink, and various people or organizations the decrying the waste of life. So, where is the outrage now? War is different now? If you are againest war, then you are againest war. It does not matter what political party in is office, but I guess that is not true.

Genisis

I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night "Decoding the Past," and the show was about the Creation Story in the Bible and how there seems to be 2 different accounts in the first 3 chapters of Genisis. The first 5 books of the Bible were written about 1400 BC (somewhere in that time period) a 1000 years before Genisis was written there was the "Epic of Gilamesh" which is a Sumerian legend . The Epic of Gilamesh is a collection of poems and stories about a mythological hero-king named "Gilamesh," the Epic contains a creation story (which was a 7 day duration), and world flood story, and a snake. The show went on to explain that later civilizations took the "gods" of previous civilizations and then demonized the gods; hence in the Biblical creation story the snake is evil, because in the Epic of Gilamesh the snake was a "good guy." Basically the Biblical creation story is a copy from the Sumerian story.

Jewish Rabbis state that there are tensions in the Old Testement and the difference between the two creation stories is such a tension. The Rabbis then form some kind of groups ( I forget what they call them ) the purpose of the group is to explain the apparent difference between the "tensions" in the Old Testement. Apparently there were two women that God created: first there was "Lilith", and then "Eve." In the first creation account God created Adam and Lilith from the ground, in essence equall to each other. A fight accured between Adam and Lilith over sex. Adam said that copulation could only accure between them in the "missionary" position, but Lilith did not agree with that assesment by Adam. Lilith said "I want to have sex with you, but I want to be on top," Adam did not agree with that, thus a fight broke out between them. Lilith, flew off to go and have sex with the fallen Angels, creating the giants referenced by the Old Testement. Lilith is also reference in the Gilamesh myth, which would indicate that idea of Lilith was copied by the writters of Genisis. In the second creation account God put Adam to sleep and took one of his ribs and then created Eve. The Rabbis explained that the idea was the Eve was equall to Adam, but not independent -- joined together so she would not be like Lilith (independent of Adam). It is just supposition but I am guessing this is how the idea of marriage started, that you are "one" with the one who who love; joined together.

Boston

I was getting ready for school one morning in my room, and I heard this song. I remember thinking "What group was that?" I had never heard music that, it was different from everything that I was hearing on the radio. Boston has been my band every since I heard them.
