Galileo

Nothing has changed in 400 years. There is scientific fact and the Church still does not accept it instead believing false ideas that can be proven wrong. The Church is not about what is the truth; it is still about power, money, and controlling people though a false belief system.

Book of Five Rings

I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night and it was about what the Japanse consider the greatest Samurai warrior of all time; Miyamoto Musashi. Near the end of his life he wrote a book called "Book of 5 Rings." Basically a philosophy by which a person conducts their interactions with other people and an individual strategy to live your life. Here are some basic points from his book:

1. Do not think dishonestly.
2. The Way is in training.
3. Become aquainted with every art.
4. Know the Ways of all professions.
5. Distinguish between gain and loss in worldly matters.
6. Develop intuitive judgement and understanding for everything.
7. Perceive those things which cannot be seen.
8. Pay attention even to trifles.
9. Do nothing which is of no use.

Continental Drift

The North and South Americans contients are moving away from Africa esimated at 1cm to 10 cm per year. That means that if the earth was 6000 years old x 10cm (take the biggest amount)/year = 60,000 cm's. Converting this to km = .6 km. That means that if you live on the west coast of Africa you should be able to throw a rock onto South America; if the Earth is 6,000 years old.

Afghan War

Today marks the 1000th Soldier to die in the Afghanistan War. When Presendent Bush was in Office I remember the outrage from Dingy Harry ( and other Democratic figures), Code Pink, and various people or organizations the decrying the waste of life. So, where is the outrage now? War is different now? If you are againest war, then you are againest war. It does not matter what political party in is office, but I guess that is not true.

Genisis

I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night "Decoding the Past," and the show was about the Creation Story in the Bible and how there seems to be 2 different accounts in the first 3 chapters of Genisis. The first 5 books of the Bible were written about 1400 BC (somewhere in that time period) a 1000 years before Genisis was written there was the "Epic of Gilamesh" which is a Sumerian legend . The Epic of Gilamesh is a collection of poems and stories about a mythological hero-king named "Gilamesh," the Epic contains a creation story (which was a 7 day duration), and world flood story, and a snake. The show went on to explain that later civilizations took the "gods" of previous civilizations and then demonized the gods; hence in the Biblical creation story the snake is evil, because in the Epic of Gilamesh the snake was a "good guy." Basically the Biblical creation story is a copy from the Sumerian story.

Jewish Rabbis state that there are tensions in the Old Testement and the difference between the two creation stories is such a tension. The Rabbis then form some kind of groups ( I forget what they call them ) the purpose of the group is to explain the apparent difference between the "tensions" in the Old Testement. Apparently there were two women that God created: first there was "Lilith", and then "Eve." In the first creation account God created Adam and Lilith from the ground, in essence equall to each other. A fight accured between Adam and Lilith over sex. Adam said that copulation could only accure between them in the "missionary" position, but Lilith did not agree with that assesment by Adam. Lilith said "I want to have sex with you, but I want to be on top," Adam did not agree with that, thus a fight broke out between them. Lilith, flew off to go and have sex with the fallen Angels, creating the giants referenced by the Old Testement. Lilith is also reference in the Gilamesh myth, which would indicate that idea of Lilith was copied by the writters of Genisis. In the second creation account God put Adam to sleep and took one of his ribs and then created Eve. The Rabbis explained that the idea was the Eve was equall to Adam, but not independent -- joined together so she would not be like Lilith (independent of Adam). It is just supposition but I am guessing this is how the idea of marriage started, that you are "one" with the one who who love; joined together.

Boston

I was getting ready for school one morning in my room, and I heard this song. I remember thinking "What group was that?" I had never heard music that, it was different from everything that I was hearing on the radio. Boston has been my band every since I heard them.

EPA and CO2

Since the EPA has declaired CO₂ a "Green House Gas" which is now "Climate Change" that means that everybody in the USA now can only breath 500 times a day, after that you have to pay a carbon tax. There are going to be EPA counting spies everywhere, counting the number of breaths a person takes, and once you are over your allowed limit you either hold your breath for your next cycle, or pay the 500.00 tax. Hope and Change.

Biblical Artifacts

I was watching the National Geographic channel last night, and the show was about Biblical Artifacts and there authenticity; if the artifacts really represented and confirmed Biblical tradition. The short anwser "NO." It seems that there is an antiquity trade in the world, and if an artifact can be related to the Bible in some way, then the artifact is worth 6 figures or more. For an example in the show they showed a plain vase, it was 2 thousand years old, but it was only worth 1,000 - 2,000 dollars. That same vase though if it has some religious writing on it and said "Jesus" or some other Biblcal reference then that same vase is worth now is worth 100,000.00's of dollars. So the dealers in the artifacts doctor up the artifacts thus turning a much larger profit. It turns out that all the artifacts that reference Soloman's Temple, or other artifacts are counterfeit and do not represent or prove the Biblical time frame. At the end of the show it was said the 1/2 of all Biblical artifacts are counterfeit.

Hope and Change

By the time Obama is done we will be a Third World Nation, maybe I will move to the Nation of Texas.

I do not understand people saying, "God healed him/her once, He can do it again." That makes no sense; that means that the disease was in remission; it was still in the body-- God never healed them in the first place. If God heals someone, that means that the disease is gone, not to come back. That is a disservice againest God, and His nature.

I remember Pat Robinson being on TV 25 years ago talking about how we (Christains) needed to live on farms because the tribulation that was comming soon. Never happened. I read David Wilkersons book "The Vision" 25 years ago, what he predicted never happened. I read "Late Great Planet Earth" 25 years ago, and we are still here. If you look at history, and history of the Church as a whole; every generation has always said time is short; why? For a religion to survive and endure; the end of the world scenario serves that purpose, to motivate and scare people to gain converts, thus create an lasting religion.

I remember sitting in Church ( I was 18) and all the old people saying that they could hardly waite for Jesus to come back. I can remember thinking to myself,"Self, I do not want Jesus to come back because I have my whole life ahead of me, and I want to live it."

I just read an article about how we are going to run out of oil, and the world is going to end by manufactoring oil from the Athabasca Tar Sands written by some science editor; science editor is all it said. So I "googled" him; he is a zoologist!!!; a real oil expert, climate expert and math genius; EXCUSE ME!!! that is just like the chemist tying to shutdown the LHC, a real physics expert. Go figure.

Where is the OUTRAGE

This month has been the worst month in Afganistan for Soldiers dying fighting the Taliban. When Bush was in office the "Drive by Media" as their lead story was the people, soldiers dying, and how bad things were on the nightly news, and Dingy Harry and other Democrats where on the news stating how bad things were and that we could not win. What was the big news tonight on the last day of the month; "Cash for Clunkers," forget the soldiers.

Now Obama has sent and additional 20,000 more troops including my son, where is Code Pink????? where are all the war activists??? If you are againest war, you are againest war, no matter who or what political party is in power, but I see no protest in the media or anywhere!!!! Plus, now Obama said that it is not his intention to win?????? Then screw that, bring my son home. If we are not fighting to win, then why are we fighting and dying?
